Celebration

On Sunday I hosted a little tea party at my house as a bit of an overdue Hen party for Emma. Emma and Ben got married back in June but because she has a little bambino she didn’t have the time to do anything before the wedding. It was the brainchild of another friend Katie. She had put together a book of wedding photos that guests had taken on the big day. The idea was to throw a little party so we could present it to Emma.

When Emma arrived she was a little shocked to see everybody.. I don’t think she was expecting to see so many faces! It was love to see her expression actually!

All of the guests including myself contributed in some way to the afternoon tea.. I made scones to have the traditional Devon way with lashings of clotted cream and jam, Tash made her renowned cheese straws and a wonderful lemon cake, Vicky made cheese scones, Wanda had made some wonderful finger sandwiches and canapés and Laura made some aubergine, mozerella and tomato bites. It was an amazing feast… We all exceeded ourselves!

We all tucked in to the wonderful spread whilst enjoying a glass or two of prosecco! It really was a wonderful afternoon with friends!

Little Sicily the kitten was introduced to everyone and was the star of the show.. I have never seen an animal so photographed.. She will get a big head! I think everyone fell in love with her a little! Bless her …

Emma’s husband Ben stopped by briefly to say hello with baby Eva.

She wasn’t as impressed with the event as her mumma so took her leave!

It really was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends enjoying delicious food. My favourite past time!! Haha!
