This recipe is incredibly easy to make. I was surprised myself to be honest. You need just four ingredients to make these lovely, moist flatbreads.
Total Time
20 min
Ingredients
- 350g of self raising flour
- Sea salt
- One teaspoon of baking powder
- 350g natural yoghurt
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir with a spoon. Use your clean hands to pull the ingredients together.
- Dust your clean work surface with a bit more flour and tip out your mixture.
- Knead for a minute or two to bring the mixture all together. Put the mixture into a floured bowl and cover with some cling film wrap. Leave to rest for five minutes or so.
- Dust your clean work surface and rolling pin with flour and then divide the mixture in half and then divide each half into six pieces.
- With your hands pat and flatten your dough and then use your rolling pin to roll each piece into thin rounds. Roughly 2-3mm thick.
- Place either a frying pan or griddle on a high heat and then dry fry or griddle each piece for 1-2 minutes each side.
- Pile onto a serving plate and serve as a side for your dips, salads etc. they are so yummy. My boyfriend Steve said that they were a "triumph" which was lovely to hear. They are texturally inbetween a pitta bread and a naan. Blimmin' tasty if I do say so myself!
