February Favourites

The Pig at Combe

Porridge

With the beginning of February being so cold, all I could think about was eating porridge for breakfast. Not just your ordinary oats though. It’s all about the toppings and flavourings. With matcha green tea being a favourite of mine recently I have made a few versions of the matcha porridge. For my recipe click here.

I’ve also made Turmeric Latte porridge, Pear and cinnamon porridge and I’ve even eaten it out and about on my travels. The MaE Deli’s porridge topped with chia jam, compote and peanut butter was another firm favourite.

Lorna Ruby

I am totally loving the homewares at Lorna Ruby right now. I feel a spring make over coming on at the house.

It’s not only the homewares though.. I am in love with this underwear range. And of course I am always partial to some jewels!

Unexpected Days Off

Don’t you just love it when you get an unexpected day off? This happened to me recently and I took myself out for the day with a couple of friends.

The Pig at Combe

I’ve visited The PIG at Combe twice this month. It really is my favourite place for laid back elegance. The hotel itself is a complete joy with log fires, plush sitting rooms and a light and airy dining room. For me, the miss matched china and glasswear reminds me of home and the 25 mile radius menu is inspiring. I love that everything you consume is locally sourced, reared or produced. A lot of the menu coming from their very own kitchen garden.

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my February favourites.. I wonder what March might bring?
