I literally wear this outfit at every opportunity! This time of year cry’s our for leopard print! Actually, who am I kidding? Every time of the year cries out for leopard print! 😂 I will be seen out and about today in this dress that I purchased in @hm - For those of you that know me will know that this goes against everything I stand for. I am all about shopping locally, sustainably and ethically on the most part from my food, to homewares to clothing. I will however justify my @hm purchase by saying that I have had it less than a month and have worn it more than 10 times already (like I said previously I don’t care if I am seen wearing the same thing over & over!) and purchased it from my high street store here in Exeter. A high street that prided itself pre lockdown on being one of the few in the country that had an almost full capacity of shops. Unfortunately now, this is not the case. I may not usually shop in larger chains and generally prefer second hand clothing over new but you know what? When you love something and are going to keep and cherish it for years to come and it keeps our high street alive and keep people in jobs I can’t help but feel ok with my purchase. Disposable fashion is not good and I am well aware of the issues that run deep within the fashion industry but I don’t do disposable fashion. What I purchase is with me for the long haul and when I am done it goes to a clothes swap with friends, a flea market, car boot or charity shop never to landfill.

Sunday strolling led us to farm fresh milk which is now bubbling away in a cake with my very own apples. Dorset apple cake should be renamed Devon Apple Cake with all the local ingredients I managed to mix in. I can’t wait for it to come out of the oven for afternoon tea. 🍏🥛🧈🍎

I’ve been in my new house for just over a week a

I’ve been in my new house for just over a week and my #terracelife has gone into overdrive. Every opportunity to get out in the fresh air and watch the sunset I have taken, and why not? It’s blimmin’ lovely. This week as promised has been full of friends, fine wine and fabulous food. Next week I am back to work with real life studio classes 5 nights out of 7 so I am making the most of the last few days of summer creating and baking in my new kitchen and sharing the rewards of my labour with family & friends. I really couldn’t be happier.
