Treats come in all forms don’t they? My afternoon tea at @salutationinn might have been simply indulgent and wonderful but spending some much needed quality time with my chum was much better. Thank you @emgar1_ for the wonderful very belated treat this afternoon.

People always ask me what my favourite non-foodie

People always ask me what my favourite non-foodie shop in Exeter is. I don’t even need to think about my response. It’s @bracket_interiors hands down. I can’t go into this beautiful space without spending. Not spending a lot mind you; just a few pounds here or there on little vintage nicknacks or crockery. If I had the money, (and I seriously don’t) I could spend hours in here curating my own little piece of heaven at home. If you haven’t been and love vintage homewares like me then you really should add Bracket to your list. You have a list right? 📃 In fact Fore Street is full of of gorgeous indies that you should be focussing on for your Christmas shopping this year. There, I said it. The ‘C’ word has been uttered. @soapdazedevon , @wowsancho , @pullo.shop are a must if you are in the area too. Whilst you are shopping you could get a foodie fix from @exetersacredgrounds , @crankhouse130b , @thepresshouseexeter or @cakeordeathldn - In fact Fore Street rules! I think this post has just inspired a little Christmas gift guide! Would you like me to share some of my favourite indies with you? 🤔

Another less than 24 hour London visit. It’s amazing what you can fit in. I got to see Steve perform with the @thepineapplethief at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Saturday and carb loaded on Sunday at @jolene_hackney with the family - A good weekend was had. Tired now though! 😴 I have to say that the @o2sbe had everyone feeling completely safe as I was a little nervous about being in a 2000 capacity venue. Compulsory proof of double vaccination, a Covid pass or a negative lateral flow on the door otherwise no entry. Definitely a sign of the times but it did ease my mind somewhat.

Delightful little festive biscuits consumed with joy last night after a day of mixed emotions. I woke up feeling really wobbly for some unknown reason and found it hard to shake it off. An evening with a friend sharing a bottle of wine, scrummy comfort food and these biscuits for dessert turned my frown upside down. I pre-ordered these incredible biscuits from @mixmixmama a few weeks ago and they arrived on Monday ready for Halloween. I couldn’t wait for the weekend obviously so they were devoured with joy almost immediately. These aren’t just ordinary biscuits though. Each design a different festive flavour and decorated so carefully. Vicky is one clever lady & has nailed the perfect biscuit let me tell you! I can’t recommend enough. I just wish I had ordered a bigger box! 🐈‍⬛💕🎃🍪🦇 I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for Christmas now!
