This little cutie has been my saving grace this week. Losing my little ginger cat Miss Marple was so hard but this little fur baby has showered me with love. She adores cuddles and kisses which has made me all the happier this week.
She hopped in the bath and I took a snap.. What a wally!
My friend Dan got me a little present and I have to say I was thrilled with his choice! I am a lucky girl. The new Ottolengi cookbook called Nopi is full of wonderful tasty recipes that I can’t wait to try out.
I got flowers too.. Chloe and Sarah gave them to me on Saturday night. I have some lovely friends!
I wanted to show you one of my little vintage pieces around the house. This wonderful painting of two puss cats. I paid five pounds for it in a tiny vintage shop in Exeter a while back and every time I look at it I smile. It isn’t signed so I have no idea who the artist is but that doesn’t matter… And it’s by no means a great work of art, but I like it.
With it being Steve’s birthday celebrations this week we have been out socialising quite a lot. I am loving a bit of bright red lipstick now that the weather feels more autumnal. This particular red is by Max Factor and is a Lipfinity lip stain in passion red. It wears and lasts really well and doesn’t need reapplying every five minutes. I find it doesn’t dry my lips out like other brands too. It gets my stamp of approval!
I hope you like looking at a few of my favourite things. It’s a bit of a mixed bag blog post but I think it represents me. As much as I love my food I have other interests and loves too. My cats are my loves.. They give me so much joy and I can’t imagine life without them. The same goes for my friends and loved ones. Since Miss Marple passed away I have been showered with love from my friends and I can’t explain how amazing that makes me feel.
I also love vintage pieces and love rummaging around charity shops and vintage stores.. eBay contributes too.. I would rather have something unique and old than something mass produced. I don’t really follow trends or fashions and enjoy the thrill of finding truely wonderful bits and bobs in a charity shop for next to nothing!
I hope you like the post.. It’s a little insight into my life.
