I can’t tell you how long I have been coveting a slice of this floral, chocolate delight from @rosiebakes_ at @crankhouse130b .. ever since I set eyes on it weeks ago it has been in my thoughts. Today was the day I purchased and consumed and can I just say it lived up to all my expectations. Delicious chocolate ganache encasing a moist chocolate sponge prettied up with a purple pansy. It was seriously good fellow foodies! So, if you are in the area head on over. 🤎

It’s English Wine Week. Have you been participating? I am a massive fan of English wines much to the distress of some of my friends. I have to disagree with them. English wines to me are fresh and zingy. Think elderflower, citrus and tropical fruits to name but a few characteristics. I am lucky enough to live within touching distance of a number of vineyards that all produce fantastically quaffable wines. Even the wines from further afield are easy to get hold of now we are embracing home deliveries. To be honest, even the supermarkets have cottoned on to a good thing by stocking not just one wine but normally a selection. Things have really come on in the last few years and I think English wines are getting the awards and kudos they deserve. .

So far this week I have picnicked with @wearetheuncommon English wine in cans and entertained in my bubble with @dalwoodvineyard - tomorrow @sharpham_wine and their award winning sparkling rosé will get an outing and I am excited to try it. .

Happy English Wine Week🥂
I am starting my exploration into English Wine this week with this rather lovely rosé from @wearetheuncommon - the perfect picnic companion other than my chum @stripd of course. Not a bad way to spend a rather inclement Saturday afternoon dodging showers. I think we ended up lucking out if I am honest as the sun ended up shining on us more often than not. It was so lovely being able to see Alex outside once again. We are getting pretty good at these safe distance drinkie pooh’s!

As much as I love the coffee catch ups of old in snuggly spots in cafes with steamed up windows I am relishing the new. Purchase yourself a takeaway, find a dry park bench and get acquainted with your frothy, milky caffeinated friend. Yep, if I’m having a coffee it’s a little milky baby coffee, bar the odd after dinner espresso. @zukiscaffetteria make it just how I like it. I’d love to be a strong & black coffee drinker but it’s just not in me. Pass me the froth! .
