Places To Visit - JuiceKing, Exeter

I discovered JuiceKing by accident one Sunday on my way to the bus station and I haven’t been able to stay away since.

Owners Luke and Lotte Stevens opened JuiceKing on Bampfylde Street on 2nd June and I must have been in every week since for my juice or smoothie fix.

In my opinion JuiceKing offers something that no other establishment in Exeter or the surrounding area offers. They specialise in offering a variety of health foods and beverages including superfood smoothies enriched with ingredients such as sea moss that boasts an impressive 92 minerals as well as spirulina, ashwagandha and açai.

Their smoothie bowls caught my eye initially and I have tried numerous from their menu. The base is a thick, cold and refreshing smoothie such as açai, leafy greens, mixed berries, and mango topped with their signature homemade granola, fresh banana and strawberries. You get to choose 3 other toppings to customise your smoothie bowl and can choose from nut butter, coconut flakes, dark chocolate chips, blueberries and lots more.

Moving forward it is their aim to extend their food offerings and venture into wholesome brunches on top of their exciting smoothie bowls. I can’t wait!

The juices, like everything else on their menu are made to order. If you fancy a bit of rejuvenating refreshment (I often do on a Sunday if you catch my drift!) their fresh juices are brimming with nutrient-rich ingredients such as spinach, celery, pineapple and pear. One of their most sort after juices even incorporates essence of the lavender.

For an added shot of nutrients to your day you could try, one of their juice shots infused with potent elements like ginger, apple cider vinegar and invigorating matcha. Perfect for that hit of vitamins and minerals.

In their commitment to quality, they craft their own almond, oat coconut milks in-house each day. This ensures the freshest and most nourishing ingredients are on hand to make your coffees, smoothies and hot drinks. Talking of coffee… they offer Crankhouse which is roasted just down the road. If coffee isn’t your bag then you have to try their beetroot latte using their own almond milk. Simply wonderful.

As the business grows, Luke and Lotte plan on hosting a running club. Something they are passionate about in their spare time. Participants in their running club will enjoy a complimentary Crankhouse coffee and a bespoke smoothie bowl as part of their involvement. So if you run or know any budding runners out there let them know about JuiceKing.

Their opening hours are Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 5pm and Sunday 9am – 3pm. Closed Monday.
