Milkshake French Toast

My love of brunch knows no bounds. There is nothing more sociable than gathering friends together on a weekend to share stories from the past week over something delicious. This recipe came about when I was sent a selection of Shaken Udder Milkshakes to try. I was eager to make something simple and delicious that can be made in mere moments and the idea for Milkshake French Toast came about.

When you have guests over for brunch you most certainly don’t want to spend hours chained to the stove. You want to be able to be part of the fun and this recipe enables you to do just that. With a bit of simple planning and preparation, this recipe only takes a few minutes to cook once your guests have arrived. This recipe is for one portion of Milkshake French Toast but it is easily multiplied depending on how many people you are entertaining.

What I think is nice when serving this dish is to provide multiple toppings so that each guest can create their own custom French toast. Put lots of little dishes in the centre of your table filled with a selection of toppings and let your guests conger up their perfect brunch. I used a selection of berries, Greek yoghurt with runny local honey but think chocolate spread with banana, griddled pineapple with coconut yoghurt or just served simply with maple syrup would be equally as good.
