A little while ago I co-hosted an event with my beautiful friend Gemma from Cabinet Jewellery. I was on foodie duty obviously and Gem was on sparkles!! It was our first collaboration as Tara’s Busy Kitchen and I loved the whole process. The preparation work behind the event was so much fun with photo shoots and edible treat making. I wanted my foodie offerings to reflect the laid back Caribbean style of Cabinet Jewellery. I made coconut truffles, bedazzled chocolate dipped marshmallows and the most beautiful dip dyed marshmallows. All packaged beautifully in clear bags and tied with natural raffia. I think the sweeties worked so well alongside the jewellery and they were a sell out on the night.
To get our guests in the festive mood we made fabulous Bombay Sapphire cocktails and mince pies that I pimped up with Lyme Bay cherry brandy liqueur. They were outstanding and I have to say every mince pie I have made since the event now has a good glug of cherry brandy liqueur in them!
Gemma and I hope to do another collaboration at the beginning of February so you can treat yourself for Valentine’s Day. Or better still create a “wish list” and pass it on to your loved one for that special day. I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening. Gemma and I can’t wait to welcome you to our next event.
