It’s been a pretty quiet week. I hadn’t put much in the diary as I was back to teaching and the normal routine. My classes have gone pretty well this week and it’s all “go, go, go” again. The next ballet exam session is booked for the beginning of March so I will be getting my students ready for that this term.
Alongside my teaching I’ve been trying to get out walking everyday, weather permitting. I am a nature lover and find great pleasure in the great outdoors. Walking is therapeutic…it clears my mind and gets me prepared for the next point of my day. I particularly love it when I come across little treasures or creatures on my travels.
I popped into Cakeadoodledo for a midweek cuppa. I’m always amazed by the selection of cakes that they have. I managed to resist temptation although it was dreadfully difficult. I mean, look at these beauties!
On Thursday I popped along to the weekly farmers market and picked up some yummy veggies from Shillingford Organics and Linscombe Farm. I love going to the market even on cold, dreary days. There is always something to inspire you. We had a little bit of snow over night on Thursday but nothing much settled in Exeter. It did however on the moors. I already had a trip to Bovey Tracy booked in to visit a friend on Friday and we took the opportunity to head up to the freezing cold moors. We wrapped up warm and attempted to walk up Hay Tor but it was rather icy so I took a few photos and we decided to head off to Ullacombe Farm shop for tea and cake to warm up. Whilst waiting for my bus home I discovered the cutest fruit and veg shop selling lots of local produce. I picked up some apples from Sidmouth (where I grew up) alongside some other local goodies. I will have to remember that little shop next time I visit my friend. I have lots of things in the diary for next week in and around my teaching. Plenty of tea dates and a rather exciting brunch booked in at KuPP. I can’t wait to share my experiences with you all. Please feel free to check out my Instagram stories to see what I get up to on a daily basis. You can also follow me on Twitter and Facebook.
