My Week In Pictures 10/17

My week in pictures

Sunday

My week started with another train journey. I visiting my friend Alex for lunch and a mooch around the city of Bristol.

I arrived at 11.30am and was greeted at the station before getting whisked away to a cute bar/restaurant called Yurt Lush which was a mere stones throw from Temple Meads station. Yurt Lush is exactly what you might imagine. A giant yurt situated on some waste land beside the station that serves up some pretty outstanding grub. Sundays are roast days and with three options to choose from you feel well catered for. Beef, pork and a veggie option all priced at £16.00 but if you choose to have dessert you pay only £2.00 more. It’s kind of worth over indulging isn’t it?

Monday

On Monday I made matcha pancakes to get the creative juices flowing. I had a breakfast meeting my friend Emma to brainstorm some collaboration ideas. Click here for more information!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I made the most delicious chocolate and cherry brownies for morning coffee with my stepdad, Tim. Without sounding too OTT they were amazing! The right side of fudgy with the gentle sweetness of cherries. They got a big thumbs up from Tim too… I am pretty sure he was happy leaving with a brownie goodie bag!

Thursday

On Thursday night I was invited to my friend Jemma’s house in Sidbury for supper. She whipped up a storm in the form of a lentil dahl, a vegetable curry plus cauliflower rice. For pudding we were presented with a pallet cleansing lemon posset.

Friday

On Friday Steve and I had a friend visiting, Alex. The weather was a little unpredictable so we decided to head off to Totnes via one of my favourite places Staverton Bridge Nursery.

From Staverton we moved on to Totnes for a mooch and a bite to eat at Seeds 2 Totnes. I opted for the salad plate which is a bargain at £7.50 especially as you can visit the buffet bar as much as you like.

From here we took a final stroll around the town and enjoyed a little bit of side street exploring.

I hope you enjoyed catching up on what I’ve been up to this week. For more up to date news give me a follow on Instagram and Twitter.

Next week I have a visit to KuPP booked in which I am excited about. I get to sample the ‘Bottomless Brunch’ deal. I look forward to sharing my thoughts on that with you very soon. Apart from that it’s going to be pretty quiet on the socialising front. I have ballet exams booked in where about 60 of my students perform for an external Royal Academy of Dance examiner. Fingers crossed for great results.

Have a great week everyone.
