Porridge has got to be one of the most versatile breakfasts known to man. In its simplest form, it is comfort food, a warming bowl of goodness that sets you up for the day but adding toppings and additional flavours transforms your humble bowl into a decadent and exciting tingle for your taste buds.

How do you make your basic porridge recipe?
- 50g rolled porridge oats
- 150ml milk of your choice/water
- Pinch of sea salt
- Combine oats, milk or water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil.
- Cook, stirring, for 3-4 minutes or until oats are soft and creamy.
- Serve with your choice of toppings.
On To The Toppings….
It really is up to you how you top and flavour your porridge but here are a few ideas to get you started. Let your imagination run wild with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, berries, cacao nibs and honey.

Make your porridge according to the recipe above but top with bee pollen and honey. Simple, comforting and delicious.
