My 6th Tara’s Busy Kitchen Presents Afternoon Tea was held last Sunday. Twelve friends old and new descended on Tara’s Busy Kitchen HQ for a beautifully styled afternoon tea using the most delicious local produce. Devonshire tea, Sharpham Vineyard sparkling pink, Clare’s Preserves and Quicke’s cheese to name but a few. It was a beautifully sunny afternoon so I flung open the patio doors and let the gorgeous spring sunshine in.
Berloni, the newest kitchen showroom in Exeter held an inspiring event on Tuesday evening. Karin and Janis welcomed myself alongside a select few guests into their showroom to witness Jim from Exeter Cookery School do his thing. He talked us through pasta making (ravioli in particular) and then gave us the opportunity to get our hands dirty and have a go! I was pretty impressed with my results. It was great catching up with Pip, The Slimming Foodie too.
Wednesday night I was back out again. This time at Polpo. Polpo is the newest kid on the block at Exeter’s Queen Street Dining complex. I can’t tell you how excited I was to visit. Having visited Da Polpo, the original many moons ago I was excited to see its offspring settling in Exeter. A full review will follow but take a peek at these photos in the meantime. Polpo is well worth a visit!Sharpham Vineyard and they were hosting a little River Dart soirée to welcome the new proprietors of the Vineyard Kitchen. Chris Sherville will be cooking up delicious middle eastern inspired dishes overlooking the awe inspiring scenery. Opening fully at the end of the month I feel I might have to get a table booked to sample the full menu.
You can catch up on my daily goings on through Instagram stories so give me a follow there. Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy this wonderful weather.
