My Week In Pictures 5/17

Liberty Cakes

It’s been a week of friends and Monday started off with a BANG! My gorgeous friend Emma came for breakfast and I made OMGTEA Matcha Green Tea pancakes. Emma provided the most wonderful juices that she picked up on route to “Tara’s Busy Kitchen”. What an angel!

Tuesday night is Zumba night for me. I spend my week jumping around like a loon teaching ballet classes but on a Tuesday night I change my mood and get my groove on with J.M Dance Fit at Montgomery Primary School. The instructor, Johanna is also an old friend of mine. We have known each other since we were children dancing together at Sidmouth Ballet School. We shimmied away for an hour dancing to tunes from Dirty Dancing (what a soundtrack) and the like. Hand jiving our way seamlessly through an hour of exercise that flies by. If you haven’t tried Zumba give it a try. It’s SO much fun.

After class I invited Johanna back for some supper. I made a simple pasta dish using store cupboard ingredients. Chilli, garlic, anchovies, lemon and parsley.. simple, delicious and ready in the time it takes to cook the spaghetti. Johanna provided some salad to have alongside and I opened a bottle of wine.

The latter end of my week was spent preparing for my 5th Tara’s Busy Kitchen pop up. A beautifully styled afternoon tea in my home that brings the wonderful local produce from the south west to life. I styled the afternoon tea with my vintage China collection plus lots of greenery that I gathered from various locations. One of them being the garden of Cakeadoodledo! Kate, the lovely owner let me go to town with a pair of scissors and I left with a bin bag full!

Whilst I was at Cakeadoodledo I couldn’t resist a slice of the freshly baked matcha and raspberry cake. My matcha obsession knows no bounds at the moment.

There will be a full post documenting my event in the next week or so. In the meantime here are some photos from previous events to show you the kind of thing I do. I just love entertaining.

I have also had a guest blog post published on the Visit Exeter Website so if you would like to check that out and see my top foodie tips for the city of Exeter then click here.

Have a great week everyone. Give me a follow on Instagram and Twitter to keep abreast of all my foodie news and look out for more recipes and posts on the blog.
