My Week In Pictures 31/17

My week in pictures

In stark contrast to my holiday in Sardinia a week or so ago it’s been nothing but rain and chilly autumnal style weather. What’s going on? We should be basking in glorious sunshine but instead I have spent the last week dodging downpours.

I started my week with a little clothes swap party at Tara’s Busy Kitchen HQ. A group of my friends gathered with their unwanted clothes and accessories to swap for someone else’s cast offs. I had a great afternoon with my friends eating homemade cakes, drinking tea and trying on clothes and doing a few deals! I feel like I have updated my wardrobe for autumn and it’s not cost me a penny.

On Monday I had dinner plans with my friend Amber. I made courgette, ricotta and homemade lemon verbena pesto bruschetta to have alongside a mixed salad. A great flavour combination that I will definitely be making again providing Wanda will let me take more lemon verbena from her garden!!

Steve and I headed over to Topsham on Wednesday to sample some delicious curries at Denleys. An award winning curry house serving full flavoured Indian cuisine. We were invited as part of their twitter account launch to help spread the word. I can safely say I wouldn’t hesitate going back. We really enjoyed our night out and would recommend visiting.

On Thursday Kate Shirazi from Cakeadoodledo and myself headed over to Dalwood Vineyard. We are planning an event amongst the vines that will showcase Dalwood’s spectacular wines alongside Kate’s cooking skills. I can’t wait to share more with you as it unfolds.

What a busy but fun week. I have managed to fit in some really lovely things in and around my summer job. It’s always nice to have exciting things in the diary.

Next week I have a trip to Sharpham Barton for an English wine tasting with Emerging Vines and a little jaunt down to Sidmouth for the Folk Festival. I also have a restaurant review at The Canopy, one of Exeter’s newest independant restaurants booked in. I am excited to see what they have on offer. On top of that I am working on some recipes in conjunction with Shillingford Organics. I will be busy, busy again!

Don’t forget to keep following my Instagram stories for daily updates on my goings on as well as Facebook and Twitter. I can’t wait to share everything with you. Have a great week everyone.
