As always it’s been a pretty food fuelled week. I seem to be consuming a lot of cheese of late. Not that I am complaining. There was my day at Quickes Farm last week where more cheese was eaten in one day than I ever though possible. Plus my late night Sharpham wine and cheese extravaganza with Steve and Estella. This week it’s been recipe testing with you guessed it… cheese.
To add to the foodie frenzie I was invited to Harry’s. A family run restaurant a mere stones throw from my front door. Harry’s has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Exeter. The welcome from the amazing staff and the love that emminates from the kitchen is seismic. They were doing a spot of filming and photography for their website to promote the new Autumn/Winter menu.
Steve and I sat amongst friends sampling the new menu additions as well as supping on delicious hand picked wines and laughing so hard my cheeks went into spasm. I can categorically say it was one of the best evenings out I had enjoyed in a long time.
As you read this I will be hot footing my way to Powderham Food Festival with Steve. For an account of my trip last year click here.
Next week I have a few delicious things lined up but I can’t tell you because they are surprises. It’s Steve’s 40th birthday you see and he knows nothing. Keep following on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for my day to day goings on. Have a great week all.
